Early Years
Playgroup - 2 years
Nursery - 3 years
The ‘Early Years Program’ at Podar Little Maestros promotes age-appropriate, holistic development focusing on nurturing all children; enabling each child to experience the joy of learning and grow in all spheres. Emphasis is laid on building core competencies with the development of communication and language skills, creative expression and physical, personal and social development. Brain stimulation is at its peak at this age and thus activities that nurture brain development are implemented in age and developmentally appropriate ways through play, language and exploration activities.
Activities are designed to help children in the early years learn by making sense of things and people around them, investigate the world, form relationships, and engage in active social interactions. Early years learning ensures a smooth transition to the more structured and skill-driven learning expectations of the kindergarten years.
Kindergarten
Junior Kindergarten – 4 years
Senior Kindergarten – 5 years
In Kindergarten the prime focus of our curriculum revolves around the emergent strategies of the early years, and the purposeful acquisition and understanding of content, skills, and concepts in literacy, numeracy and knowledge.
Our Kindergarten Curriculum nurtures and piques children’s interest, curiosity, and their natural quest for knowledge. We develop the skills of problem solving, inquiry, investigation, discovery, and active hands-on exploration. In our Kindergarten curriculum, even though learning is based on play and exploration, it is very well structured and integrated across multiple disciplines of language, math, science, writing, and technology. This is done to meet expectations for holistic goals, development of life skills, dispositions, and attitudes as well as academic achievements.
